EDMONTON — An Alberta traffic sheriff, whose job was to catch lead-footed motorists, is facing charges of dangerous driving and driving at an unreasonable rate of speed.
The charges against Sean Myher are connected to six on-duty incidents between May and October 2015 in the Edson and Jasper areas, RCMP said.

No one was injured during any of the alleged incidents.
Myher is facing four counts of dangerous driving and two counts of driving at an unreasonable rate of speed. He was working out of Edson at the time of the alleged offences, as part of an integrated traffic enforcement unit with the RCMP.
The charges came after an internal review by Alberta Traffic Sheriff Operations. Irregularities noted in the review were forwarded to the RCMP for investigation.
Myher will appear in Edson Provincial Court on March 15.
