Williams Lake RCMP have released surveillance footage of an armed robbery at a skate park.

The incident happened on Feb. 22, at 4:40 p.m. at the Boitanio Skate Park.

Williams Lake officers were in the detachment parking lot when they were approached by a “frantic” young man who said his friend had just been robbed of his BMX bike at gunpoint.

The young men said a group of six males were in the park when the victim was approached by three of them. The suspect allegedly pulled out what appeared to be a silver-coloured hand gun held in his left hand and pointed it at the victim, telling the teen the bike was now his.
