MONTREAL – Quebec’s new Education Minister Pierre Moreau has a tumour, the nature of which is unspecified, according to the Ministry of Education in a statement.
After several scans and hospital tests, Moreau’s doctor stated “the symptoms, clinical and medical tests showed a tumour.”
The ministry confirmed Moreau will undergo a biopsy to determine if the tumour is malignant or benign.
Moreau was taken away from the National Assembly in an ambulance during the Quebec government’s cabinet shuffle, Jan. 26, 2016.
He will undergo treatment and will have to “reduce his workload substantially in the upcoming months.”
