Len Harvey was eight years old when his dad came home one day and said they were going to see a new movie. By the time Harvey walked out of that screening of Star Wars in 1977, he’d made up his mind: he was going to become an actor.
“I’d never seen anything like it,” Harvey said. “And my life was changed forever.”
Fast forward almost four decades and the force is still with Harvey.

He’s now starring in Star Warz: A Galactic Rock Comedy, a new live show at Jubilations Dinner Theatre in Calgary.
Harvey’s having a lot of fun playing Obi-Wan Kenobi.
“Being able to be Obi-Wan and walk up to children and say, ‘hello there’…it’s just incredible.”
He especially enjoys his onstage light sabre battles with Darth Vader.
“When we were kids, I would try and find the most perfect straight stick. It was our light sabre,” Harvey recalls. “So, having a real one now, one you can actually fight with…so exciting.”
Star Warz: A Galactic Rock Comedy opens Feb. 19 at Jubilations Dinner Theatre, with performances continuing through until April 24.
