How the ‘ideal’ male physique looks around the world

A new experiment reveals how the ideal man’s body might appear in 19 different countries around the globe.

Using the same photo and the talent of 19 graphic designers, one man’s physique was manipulated to look slimmer, beefier, and even given abs.

The artists hail from: the U.S., China, Indonesia, Macedonia, the Philippines, Russia, Venezuela, South Africa, Serbia, Colombia, Spain, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Australia, Egypt, U.K., Portugal, Nigeria, and Croatia.

“Photoshop and retouch this man to make him more attractive to the people of your country,” the freelance designers were told.

They were given the green light to modify any feature, including shape and colouration.

This is the second such experiment initiated by website Superdrug Online Doctor; last year it made waves with the same project using a woman’s photo.
