Police have charged a 21-year-old Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC) student after another student was stabbed at the school’s Akerley campus Wednesday.
Police were called to the school shortly before noon after a young man was stabbed following an altercation with another student.

The situation was diffused quickly, with police arresting a man — confirmed by NSCC to be a student — within three minutes of arriving.

The 22-year-old victim, also confirmed to be a student, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The 21-year-old student arrested has been charged with assault with a weapon and is scheduled to appear at Dartmouth provincial court on April 5.
