A Calgary woman experiencing homelessness for several years finally experienced the true meaning of Family Day on Monday.

For the first time since she moved into her own apartment, she is spending it with her family.

Karen Steele was living at the Drop-In Centre for years, and had lost touch with her family. But, she’s since reunited with her daughter, and hosted a Family Day get-together in her very own home.
