SIAST names new president and CEO

SIAST has named its new president and CEO. 

Dr. Larry Rosia will replace outgoing president Dr. Robert McCulloch on July 1st. 

“I am honoured to be given this opportunity to join SIAST and play a role in the success of this great organization at such an important time for SIAST and the province,” said Rosia.

SIAST says Rosia’s background is a good fit for the institution. 

“Dr. Rosia’s skills are well suited to maintaining SIAST’s momentum, capturing new opportunities and ensuring that SIAST students have access to a high-quality, post-secondary education, and that employers have access to a highly skilled workforce,” said SIAST board chair Pam Schwann. 

Rosia is currently dean of the School of Construction at SAIT Polytechnic in Calgary where he was instrumental in implementing baccalaureate-level programming.
