Family Day is just around the corner and if you’re looking for things to do around the Greater Toronto Area — look no further.

Melody Johnson from Help! We’ve Got Kids has plenty of ideas.

Festivals

 Kidapalooza Family Festival (in Markham)
$60 Family Pass (​2 Adult + 2 Child Admissions)
Enjoy activity stations, play zones, inflatables, live performances, dance parties and tons of food, fun and creativity at Kidapalooza. This indoor family festival has fun planned for the whole weekend.

Kidfest (Toronto) 
$80 – Family Pass (​2 Adult + 2 Child Admissions)
With more than thirty-themed inflatables, kids can slide and bounce all weekend long at Kidfest. There are also interactive activities, games, crafts, mini-putt, science experiments, exotic animals, and more!

Hamilton’s Kids-Fest (Hamilton) 
Kids 2+: $25 – Adults $10
At Kids-Fest, children under twelve can participate in a variety of fun and educational activities, including slides, bouncy castles, interactive games, crafts, sing-alongs, animals, magic, science, and live performances.

Hockey Hall of Fame
Kids free on Family Day Up to a maximum of 4 youth (13 yrs & under)
Adults $18
Enjoy the exciting hockey experience with artifacts, simulation games, theatres, and larger-than-life statues.

The Ontario Science Centre
Adults $22-$28  Kids: $13-$22
You can join in for special programs, DNA-themed workshops and games, IMAX films, and visit the special exhibition: Mammoths and Mastodons: Titans of the Ice Age.

Bata Shoe Museum

Arts and crafts, demonstrations, games, a movie, and shoes, shoes, shoes!

 Aga Khan Museum

Magical Mystical Creatures activities through interactive storytelling, games and crafts

AGO 
Family pass $39
The Art Gallery of Ontario is transforming into the KGO: Kids’ Gallery of Ontario for Family Day activities. There will be fun for all ages, including arts and crafts, family yoga, drop-in playtime, and bubble wrap fun.

Fort York 
Adults: $9.00
Youth (13–18 yrs.): $5.50
Children (6–12 yrs.): $4.25
Children (5 and under): FREE
Learn about history and enjoy old-fashioned games, activities, and hot chocolate by the fireside.

The Beach

On Sunday, visit the ninth annual Family Sunday in the Beach for lots of outdoor family fun, including ice sculptures, interactive games, live performances and a vintage trolley ride.

The Cambridge Butterfly ConservatoryHug-A-Bug Insect Petting Zoo

Get hands-on with some incredible live exotic bugs, such as giant millipedes, hissing cockroaches, scorpions and beetle grubs.
