EDMONTON – Alberta Premier Alison Redford is heading to a meeting outside Washington D.C. with some of the world’s top bankers, economists and government leaders.
Redford is to attend the Bilderberg conference in Chantilly, Va. from Thursday to June 4.

The premier says Alberta is competing against jurisdictions around the world and she wants everyone to know that the province is open for business.
Redford says she will meet with top policy leaders about the economy and the ecological challenges of developing natural resources in a responsible way.
The annual Bilderberg conference is usually held under tight secrecy and is by invitation only.
An international steering committee generally selects different delegates each year.
