EDMONTON – Several people were forced out of a central Edmonton home early Monday morning after a fire started inside.

Fire crews were called to the area of 100 Street and 90 Avenue at around 3 a.m.

Smoke could be seen billowing from the attic of the two-storey residence. The fire was brought under control by about 3:45 a.m. and was declared out at 5:05 a.m.

Heavy damage to one side of the home was apparent shortly after crews arrived.
