Police ID teen killed in Derry Road shooting

TORONTO – A 17-year-old boy was killed in a shooting just northeast of Toronto’s Pearson International Airport early Sunday morning.

Police were called to a scene outside Habibi Lounge near Airport and Derry Roads around 1:30 a.m. where the teen was found in the parking lot with life-threatening injuries.

The victim, later identified as Toronto resident Sharmarke Farah, died in hospital.

Police have not identified any suspects at this time.

The incident was one of four apparent homicides committed overnight.
