A Calgary florist has come up with a quest worthy of cupid as we head towards Valentine’s Day – the store’s looking for “Mr. Right” and it’s got a bouquet waiting for him.

The sign outside the “Pushing Petals” flower shop reads: “If your name is Mr. Right, come in. You have won a prize.”

It’s prompting lots of comments, with people walking by, starting to talk about what would make someone Mr. Right.

“He’s kind, he’s considerate, he’s creative,” Calgarian Sandi Greene said.

“He’s thoughtful, he’s funny,” Marie-Louise Thomas added.

According to Pushing Petals owner Janet Figley, Mr. Right would have “a sense of adventure–someone that’s not finished learning.”

Just one catch though: no matter how many wonderful qualities a man might have, he’d only win the bouquet if his name is literally Mr. Right –spelled R-i-g-h-t.

The sign’s been up for a week, and so far no Mr. Right has walked in to claim his prize.

But Figley’s optimistic the “right guy” will eventually show up.

With Valentine’s just a few days away, she says, “love is in the air.”
