REGINA – A Regina school was briefly placed in “secure the building” mode Friday afternoon as police investigated an incident nearby.
Access to Rosemont Community School was restricted for about 15 minutes as officers investigated a report of a domestic assault at a nearby residence. The report indicated that there were weapons inside the home.
A man was arrested at the home shortly after officers arrived and the firearms, which were properly secured, were located. The “secure the building” protocol was lifted shortly thereafter.
The investigation into the domestic abuse complaint is ongoing.
