OK, so that’s not quite the famous line from the Batman film The Dark Knight. But just like that blockbuster movie, this story ends with police hunting for an unknown man dressed as a bat.

In this case however, the evidence – captured on security camera at an Orange County, Calif., dollar store – is hard to ignore.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office says a man dressed like Batman walked into the 123 Dollar Store around 8 p.m. Tuesday, carrying a gun and demanding cash.

The clerk complied, emptying the register’s contents into “Batman’s” bag. Once finished, the Bat-thief casually strolls out of the store, gun and stolen cash in hand.

Police say an hour and a half later, the same man robbed the South Goldenrod Road Dollar General a short distance away.
