TORONTO – Police are seeking the public’s help to find a suspect involved in a sexual assault late Saturday night.
Police say a 25-year-old woman was walking near Ryerson Avenue and Queen Street West at 11:55 p.m. when a man grabbed her from behind and forced her into Linda Griffith Laneway.
The suspect knocked the woman to the ground and assaulted her, but was interrupted by a passerby and fled west, police said.
The suspect is described as white, 30-40 years old, 5’11”, chubby build, weighing approximately 250 lbs, with short, wavy black-or-dark-brown hair, unshaven, with a large nose, wearing a dark, hooded sweater, dark-gray track pants and dark shoes.
Police are appealing to witnesses who may have been in the area at the time of the assault to contact police.
