WATCH: It’s a luxury hotel with a reputation for top notch service. But guests of the Pan Pacific in Vancouver are speaking out after being stuck in one of the elevators for hours. Julia Foy has the story – Jan 30, 2016

The Pan Pacific Hotel says they will be compensating 13 guests who were stuck in an elevator for approximately two hours last night.

“The guests in the elevator were never in danger, but they were probably frightened because they didn’t know how long it would be,” said Craig Norris-Jones, General Manager of the hotel.

“The absolute best thing is to wait for the elevator service to arrive.”

Jenny Clark, who is in Vancouver promoting her Honeymoon Bay retreat at a convention, said it was a frightening experience.

“After a little while, the elevator [operator] said there is a minor emergency happening right now, and we were it,” she said.

“We were feeling a little bit of anxiety, claustrophobic, it was hard to breathe at one point, there was a lot of sweat going on,” added Nicole Van Ek-Veenstra, who was also stuck in the elevator.
