Halifax police are still looking for the man responsible for a hit-and-run in a parking lot on in Fairview and hope to identify him with a snapshot from a surveillance video.

Around 8:20 a.m. on Jan. 15, a 26-year-old woman was hit in the parking lot of an apartment building in the 3400 block of Dutch Village Road.

Police say the woman fell  to the ground. The man then got out of the car, helped the pedestrian to her nearby place of work and said he would go park his car and come back, but he didn’t return.

The woman was taken to hospital and sustained non-life threatening injuries to her shoulder as a result.

The man is described as being 30-40 years old, with some facial hair and he was wearing business-type clothes and a trench coat. He was driving a four-door, large model gold sedan.
