Police said the driver of the stolen vehicle didn’t stop after driving over the spike belt and continued travelling westbound out of Airdrie.
He eventually lost control of the vehicle and entered a ditch on Highway 567 near Range Road 23.

He suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
Shane Brown, 32, of Red Deer, was then taken into custody and charged with the following:
- Possession of stolen property over $5000
- Prohibited driving
- Flight from police officer
