Employee rescued from Elstow grain terminal

Saskatoon Fire & Rescue were notified of an injured male employee at the Elstow Grain Terminal just before 9:00 p.m. Friday.

Battalion Chief, Glenn Ledray said the man was injured while working at an elevation of approximately 70’ with no way of getting him to the ground in his condition.

The Technical Rope Rescue team was called in and created a lowering system that was able to lower the patient after he was freed from an entrapment.

Saskatoon Fire & Rescue say his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Elstow is approximately 35 km southeast of Saskatoon.
