N.B. RCMP hope sketch will help identify McDonald’s attempted armed robbery suspect

Police have released a sketch of the man they believe to be responsible for an armed attempted robbery at the McDonald’s in Campbellton on January 5.

Along with the facial sketch, police have also released a composite image of what the suspect was wearing.

Police say the man, in his mid-to-late 20s tried to rob the McDonald’s at about 8:30 p.m. on January 5. He allegedly jumped onto the counter, holding a weapon, and then left after struggling with two of the employees.

The man speaks English, and was wearing a black jacket with a red stripe on each arm, with the name “A.L.P.A Equipment Ltd.” on the front in white.

Under the jacket, police say he was wearing a black “Ripzone” hoodie, and he had a cross hanging around his neck.

Anyone with information about the suspect, or someone who may have been wearing this jacket and no longer has it, or anyone who was in the area of McDonald’s that night is asked to call police at 506-789-6000 or contact www.crimenb.ca anonymously.
