The police would like the public to know this is believed to be a targeted incident and the general public is not in danger.
“I can’t even think of specific occurrence where we actually have a non-targeted home invasion,” said Sgt. Ian Sanderson, Lethbridge Regional Police. “These homes are targeted for specific organized value. We don’t want public to think they’re at risk of such an event. Certainly residential break-ins out there, for property, cash, other items, but that is not what we’re dealing with here.”
Police are now looking for 2 suspects.
The first is described as a white male. 5 foot 9 inches tall with a stocky build.
He has short, dirty blonde hair and scruff unshaven facial hair.
He was wearing a black heavyweight coat.
The second suspect is described as an african american man with dark skin.
He is about 6 feet tall with a slim build and short curly black hair.
He was wearing a grey or black hoodie with the hood up.
If you have any information on this crime, you’re asked to call police or crimestoppers.
