TORONTO — A two-alarm fire erupted at a building under construction in downtown Toronto on Wednesday.
Toronto Fire Services said the fire started at a three-to-five-storey building just before noon in the area of Yonge Street and The Esplanade.
Firefighters said they didn’t believe the fire was spreading, but that asphalt at the construction site had also caught fire.
Aerial assistance is standing by if needed and no injuries have been reported in the fire.
