EDMONTON — An Edmonton police officer has been charged with assault after an on-duty incident.
An investigation by the Edmonton Police Service’s Professional Standards Branch found that Const. Dustin Adsett responded to a report of a disturbance on Jan. 3, 2013 when the alleged assault occurred.

Charges were laid after a recommendation from Alberta Justice.
Adsett has spent seven years with the police service and remains on active duty.
