WINNIPEG — CAA Manitoba is expanding its borders. The membership organization announced CAA Manitoba and CAA South Central Ontario are intending to merge.
“I am deeply honoured to express our intention to merge,” Mike Mager, President of CAA Manitoba said. “By bringing together two successful CAA Clubs, both are better positioned to offer an even higher calibre array of products and services that are essential to our Members’ safety and peace of mind.”
Mager said the move will pool resources together, which will help save money and benefit members. He said this is a way to keep membership dues reasonable, and once the merger put this through, there will be a small reduction in fees.
“The merger will enhance roadside assistance, travel and insurance services in both Manitoba and Ontario,” Meger said.
The two companies will continue to operate under their current brands. Merger said there will be no job losses. It’s set to take place Sept. 30, 2016, which is dependent to member and regulatory approvals.
