Pedestrian bridge to cross over Wascana Creek closing for construction

REGINA – Residents wanting to cross over Wascana Creek are going to start finding it a little more difficult.

The city of Regina says as of Monday, the Neil Balkwill Bridge will be closed to pedestrians.

The bridge is located just north of 17th avenue, between Pasqua and Elphinstone streets.

It’s expected to be closed for three months so the city can replace it with a new bridge.

The city is warning residents not to cross on the ice but to use Pasqua or Elphinstone streets as an alternate route.
