Police are asking for help from the public in finding a driver involved in a hit and run in Halifax Friday morning.
According to investigators, a 26-year-old woman was walking in a parking lot of a building on Dutch Village Road at about 8:20 a.m. when she was hit by a vehicle and fell.
The driver stopped to help the woman into her nearby workplace and stated he would go to park his car then come back, but he didn’t return.
The woman was taken to hospital and sustained non-life threatening injuries to her shoulder.
The car is described as a gold, four-door large model sedan. The victim described the driver as a 30 to 40-year-old white man with some facial hair. She said he was wearing business-type clothing and a beige trench coat.
