Nearly a week after human remains were found, Halifax Regional Police say they have yet to identify who they belong to.
A man was walking near the 200-block of Pleasant Street in Dartmouth last weekend when he discovered a body underneath the snow. Police haven’t said much about the case, except that it appeared the body had been there for some time.

Forensic investigators combed the scene for more than a day looking for clues.
An autopsy was performed Tuesday, but police say further testing is required to determine the gender and identity of the individual. It’s hoped that investigators can make a positive identification next week.
