WINNIPEG — Steinbach RCMP have arrested what they call a “prolific offender” following a string of fraudulent activity.
Police arrested Jesse Daniel Cole, 32, of no fixed address on Tuesday. Officers believe Cole had been posing as different aliases, including “Jesse Sinclair” on dating and social media websites to defraud women.

He’s charged with nearly 30 charges including breaching probation, fraud under $5,000 and unauthorized possession of credit card data. Officers launched the investigation in December after the fraud was discovered.
“We’re releasing this information and his picture to encourage anyone who may have been defrauded by this individual to contact their local policing agency,” said Sgt Bert Paquet of the Manitoba RCMP. “We want to ensure that this individual is charged for all of the crimes he has committed, not only the ones reported so far.”
Cole is wanted for similar offences in Alberta, Quebec and Ontario. He remains in custody.
