MONTREAL – The girlfriend of Montreal Canadiens forward Alex Galchenyuk was allegedly arrested Sunday on charges of domestic violence, reports La Presse.
Chanel Leszczynski, 27, apparently showed up at Galchenyuk’s apartment around 8 a.m.
The hockey player and several of his friends were there, supposedly including teammate Devante Smith-Pelly.
Multiple people called 911 about an argument that quickly escalated.
Leszczynski was then arrested as the instigator; Galchenyuk reportedly refused to press charges.
Both Galchenyuk and Smith-Pelly had a meeting with general manager Marc Bergevin after Tuesday’s practice.
Neither the Canadiens nor Leszczynski’s lawyer were willing to comment on the incident.
