EDMONTON – RCMP have arrested a man wanted in connection with the murder of a northern Alberta man last summer.
Jesse Prestly Laboucan was arrested late Saturday in High Level.
Laboucan, who turned himself in to police, was wanted for the murder of 20-year-old Ryan Joseph Ellefson, which took place in High Prairie on July 29.
Earlier this week, police arrested and charged Dakota Anderson, 20, with second degree murder in Ellefson’s death.
On July 29, 2015, emergency crews were called to a gas station in High Prairie where an unconscious man was found outside. He was rushed to hospital but later died of his injuries. RCMP did not say how Ellefson died.
Anderson is scheduled to appear in High Prairie Provincial Court on Monday.
Police said Laboucan will remain in custody until his next court date, which has not yet been set.
