UPDATED: House fire in Waverley not considered suspicious: RCMP

HALIFAX – RCMP say the cause of an early-Wednesday fire in Waverley, N.S. is not suspicious.

Fire crews were called to a home on Rolling Hills Road around 6 a.m. Neighbours say they saw smoke billowing from the home when they awoke.

Several fire trucks were on scene for much of the day extinguishing hot spots.

Police had initially deemed the fire suspicious in nature, but say further investigation has ruled that out.

Fire investigators are still at the home working to determine what started the fire.
