WINNIPEG — The first baby born in Winnipeg in 2016 is a girl delivered at St. Boniface Hospital.
Fay was born at 12:14 a.m. weighing just over six pounds.

Her 28-year-old father Faiez Alshafu said it was hard to put his feelings into words, “there is like this range of emotions … I feel thrilled.”
Fay`s mother arrived at the hospital at around 3 p.m. on New Years Eve. The original due date was December 28.
