Fire crews were kept busy with a two-alarm fire that engulfed an east Vancouver home early this morning.
The fire broke out at a house at the corner of Lily and Williams Streets at about 4 a.m. The house is currently undergoing renovations and no one was inside at the time of the fire.

It took 32 firefighters to knock out the flames. No other houses in the area were damaged.
“It’s been an extremely busy night downtown, these crews are exhausted,” VFD battalion chief Laberge said.
“Most of them are working downtown at Granville Street and Canada Place multiple medical alarms. They just finally get back to the hall for a rest and then we get tapped out to this fire. These guys have a been going steady since 10 p.m. last night.”
The cause of the fire is currently unknown.
