HALIFAX – If you live in Nova Scotia and welcomed a new baby girl named Ava or a boy named Owen this year, you weren’t alone.
A total of 56 new Avas and 59 new Owens were welcomed in the province in 2015, according to Nova Scotia’s Registry of Vital Statistics.
Other popular names for girls include Oliva, Emma, Charlotte, Sadie and Abigail.
Top picks for boys include William, Liam, Benjamin, Oliver and Jack.
Many names have been popular for some time, but there were a few new additions to the list, including Scarlett, Madison, Audrey, Sophie, Grace, Addison, Autumn, and Ellie for girls, along with Logan, Wyatt, Emmett, Henry and Parker for boys.
