Search teams looking for man after canoe overturns on Nova Scotia lake

HALIFAX – Police are searching for a man whose canoe overturned on a Nova Scotia lake on Saturday evening.

RCMP say that two canoeists were paddling at Spectacle Lake near East Chester at about 7:15 p.m. when their boat flipped over.

An 18-year-old man managed to swim to shore, but a 41-year-old man is missing.

Police, ground search and rescue and volunteer firefighters are looking for the man on the lake and in the surrounding area.
