PENTICTON — Fire Fighters are carrying on the tradition of raising money for their local Firefighters Charitable Society, Muscular Dystrophy and British Columbia Professional Firefighters Burn Fund.
The Christmas Tree Pick-up is once again being provided by members of the Penticton Fire Department- IAFF Local 1399.
Penticton residents are encouraged to call the Penticton Fire Department at 490-2315 to arrange for their Christmas tree to be picked up by Fire Fighters during their off time.
A donation to Penticton Firefighters Charitable Society, Muscular Dystrophy and or BC Professional Firefighters Burn Fund is very much appreciated for this service.

On January 02nd from 11:00am to 2:00pm, at Station 202, plan to drop your tree off for chipping and enjoy a BBQ Hotdog and Hot Chocolate provided by Penticton Firefighters Local 1399.
The trees are then chipped and taken to the Campbell Mountain Landfill for the composting program.
Residents can also drop off their trees for chipping anytime at Fire Hall #202 located at 285 Dawson Avenue in Penticton.
A donation box is set up at Fire Hall #202.
The Christmas tree pick-up service will operate until January 18, 2015
