TORONTO – Police say one person is dead following a suspected home invasion in Ancaster on Monday night.
Hamilton police say they responded to a call of gunshots at around 10:30 p.m. in the area of Fiddler Green Road and Garden Avenue.
After arriving on scene, officers located three individuals at 21 Miller Drive. One person was found without vital signs and two others suffered unspecified injuries.
The male victim died after attempts to resuscitate him were unsuccessful.
Police say the deceased has been identified but his name will not be released until the next-of-kin have been notified.
Police say they are searching for two suspects but no description was immediately released.
It is believed the attack was targeted and was not random.
