Murder charge laid in 8-year-old Alberta homicide

A charge of first-degree murder has been laid in a southern Alberta homicide case that dates back more than eight years.

The body of Allan Gerald Berdahl of Calgary was found in March 2007 near a gravel road east of Carstairs, but details of how the 36-year-old man died have not been released.

RCMP say a 49-year-old Calgary man was arrested last Thursday.
