That’s when a 22-year-old woman showed up at a tourist information centre near the Saskatchewan-Manitoba boundary.
She told people there she had been picked up in Regina by a man driving a semi, driven around for several hours, sexually assaulted
and then left near Kirkella, Manitoba.
According to police, the investigation revealed the woman was at a nightclub in the 1000 block of Park Street in June 2010. When she left the club to find a cab ride home, a man followed her out of the club and asked if she needed a ride home.
Once she got in his semi-truck, the man prevented her from getting out and drove away.
Kelly has been serving a separate prison sentence in Ontario for unrelated charges.
