Star Wars marathon kicks off in Toronto ahead of ‘The Force Awakens’

TORONTO – Hundreds of Star Wars superfans are spending all-day Thursday inside a Toronto movie theatre for a movie marathon ahead of the official opening of The Force Awakens.

The Scotiabank Theatre opened its doors early Thursday morning for 380 people eager to relive the Star Wars magic ahead of the new film’s launch.

The viewing party started at 4:45 a.m. and is scheduled to end at 9:35 p.m. with 10 minute breaks in between movies.

The sold-out event cost fanboys and fangirls $60 each to watch all seven movies in the film franchise.
