Saskatoon man charged for voyeuristic videos

SASKATOON – A 29-year-old Saskatoon man has been arrested and faces 18 new voyeurism charges after a year-long investigation. He was first charged after an incident on Nov. 25, 2014, when police responded to a business in the 3500-block of 8th Street East.

Officers were called after a report of a man recording video of people in “various stages of undress” without their permission, according to a police news release.

Saskatoon police’s VICE Unit launched an investigation that found the man had several voyeuristic videos from various locations in Saskatoon.

Police described the locations as ones where “patrons would expect a high degree of privacy.”

The suspect is scheduled to appear before a justice of the peace Wednesday evening.
