Fans to choose name for Saskatchewan Rush mascot

SASKATOON – The Saskatchewan Rush and 92.9 The Bull FM are giving fans the chance to name the team’s new bulldog mascot. A contest was launched Monday to gather submissions until Dec. 28.

To enter, participants must follow the lacrosse team on Facebook and then leave suggestions and their own name in the comments of the mascot contest post.

Rush staff will narrow the entries down to five finalists and those will then be voted on by the public from Dec. 29 until Jan. 4, 2016, to decided a winner.

The fan who submits the winning name will receive a prize pack consisting of four 2016 season tickets and a Rush jersey.

The new NLL mascot will make its first official game appearance at Saskatchewan’s inaugural home opener on Jan. 15, 2016 at SaskTel Centre.
