Blades snap losing streak, down Pats 2-1

SASKATOON – Connor Gay scored the winner in the sixth round of the shootout as the Saskatoon Blades snapped a five-game skid with a win over the Regina Pats on Sunday in Western Hockey League action. The win also snapped the Blades 15-game losing streak against the Pats, dating back to March 2013.

Cameron Hebig scored in regulation for Saskatoon (11-16-3).

Brock Hamm stopped 29 shots in regulation and overtime, and all six shooters in the shootout for the victory.

Adam Brooks struck for the Pats (15-13-4), who got a 37-save performance from Tyler Brown.
