RCMP said the body of a man was found in a wooded area on the outskirts of Whitecourt, Alta. early Sunday morning.
Officers have secured the scene and are starting to investigate the death.

However, as of Sunday evening, RCMP couldn’t confirm if the man’s death was criminal or non-criminal in nature.
RCMP said there is “currently no indication of any specific risk to the general public.”
More information is expected to be released Monday.
Whitecourt is approximately 200 kilometres northwest of Edmonton.
