An MMA fighter has made a United States marine’s dream come true after she went to the Marine Corps Ball with him.
Ronda Rousey posted a picture of herself with Lance-Cpl. Jarrod Haschert to intstagram on Saturday, after the Friday night Ball on Dec. 11.
In the post Rousey thanks Haschert “for putting a smile on her face again,” a reference to when she lost the UFC women’s bantamweight championship to Holly Holm in less than two rounds just last month.

She told TMZ it was an honour to be asked, and that she would probably be on the couch “crying and eating ice cream” if it wasn’t for the ball.
This was Rousey’s first public appearance since the devastating loss.
Haschert first asked Rousey to the ball on Facebook in August, saying he would love to bring her as long as it didn’t get in the way of her training.
“You are my celebrity crush. I love everything you do and I think you are a phenomenal person,” he said in a video.
