HALIFAX – Liberal MP Rodger Cuzner put an extra festive touch on his holiday address in the House Thursday, rhyming his speech to a familiar Christmas story.
“T’was the week before Christmas and all through the land, a spankin’ new government was now in command,” he said as house members chuckled.

“We will soon settle in for debating and voting, but after 10 years [with the Conservatives], forgive me for gloating,” he said.
Other members can be seen clapping and laughing around him as they listen to his poetic address.
“Canadians have spoken and have done so with zeal, they want hope for the future and change that is real,” he finished amidst a standing ovation and applause and cheers.
Cuzner is the Member of Parlaiment from Cape Breton-Canso, and the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minster of Employment, Workforce Development and Labour.
