Electrocuted worker falls from power pole in southern Alberta

RCMP and Alberta Occupational Health and Safety are investigating after a man suffered a serious electric shock Tuesday afternoon.

Just after 4:30 p.m., Calgary EMS were called to RR 282 south of Highway 567  in the MD of Rockyview, northeast of Calgary.

The found a man in his mid-30s suffering burn injuries from an electric shock. The man fell approximately five metres from the power pole he was working on.

Paramedics transported him to Foothills Medical Centre in serious but stable condition.
