TORONTO — Ontario Provincial Police have charged two teenagers in connection with the theft of five long-guns from a home in the township of Hastings Highlands, near Bancroft, Ont.
OPP said the suspects allegedly broke into a home in the township on Nov. 27 and stole five long guns, before taking an ATV and a dirt bike from a garage on the property.

The firearms and dirt bike were later found by police and investigators identified two suspects.
Konner Brewitt, 19, of Bancroft, was arrested on Dec. 5 and charged with possession of property obtained by crime, break-and-enter to steal firearms, driving while disqualified and two counts of theft of a motor vehicle. He was held for a bail hearing.
A 16-year-old Hastings Highlands boy was arrested on Dec. 6 and charged with possession of property obtained by crime, break-and-enter to steal firearms and two counts of theft of a motor vehicle. He is scheduled to appear in youth court in Bancroft on Jan. 21 and cannot be identified due to the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
