SASKATOON – A 35-year-old man was Tasered by an officer on Sunday following a short vehicle pursuit. Saskatoon police got into the chase at around 12 p.m. CT which ended in the in the 300-block of Avenue W South.

Officials say the man was non-compliant and became aggressive. The officer deployed the Conducted Energy Weapon (CEW) and was successful in taking the suspect into custody.

The man was not injured as a result of the CEW and was cleared by MD Ambulance paramedics at the scene.

The suspect is facing charges in this incident and is scheduled to appear in Saskatoon provincial court on Monday morning.
